Technical 1962 oldsmobile 394 deck freeze plugs

    looking for deck freeze plugs for a 1962 oldsmobile 394. have not been able to find a parts source for them. parts stores don't list them. is there a dorman number for them or any other part numbers that they can be ordered by? not positive what the dimensions are .

    Any established automotive machine shop can get you the soft plugs.

    IIRC, they are 1-1/2".

    does anyone know what the dorman part number is for these deck freeze plugs?

    A real auto parts store or a machine shop can get you the info easily.

    the dorman site does not get very specific to the deck plugs for a 1962 oldsmobile 88 394

  10. I got a complete soft plug set for my 394 from GOATROPER02 here on the HAMB, he is pretty much the got to guy for about anything Oldmobile. There are a couple that have a hole in the middle of them I am sure that they are impossible to find, but you can takes a standard soft plug and drill it.
