LaDawri Daytona. An early fiberglass kit car. This particular vehicle was assembled in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the mid-60's, finished, titled, only to have its interior stripped by a thief and the owner stored it away afterwards. It comes with a cleaned and honed Pontiac 317 block, a reground crank (.010" under), a freshly rebuilt Heavy Duty M13 three speed, many parts, and its original title.

In addition, here are some notes from the original builder that still apply:
    • 1951 Henry J chassis has been left in stock condition with the exception of the portion from the rear spring mounts back. These spring mounts have been removed and a portion of a 1941 Pontiac chassis has been added on both sides to the outside of the Henry J chassis at the top of the curve above the rear axle. The rear portion of the Henry J chassis was then reattached to the 1941 Pontiac sections. The rear spring mounts – both front and back - of a 1956 Pontiac were inserted into this widened and lengthened portion of the chassis.
    • The front cross member, which formed the transmission mount, was removed.
    • Suspension is 1956 Pontiac. Rear springs have 2 leaves removed. Rubber axle stops, mounted to the frame, are stock Henry J. 1954 Chevrolet upper A-arm mounted between rear frame cross member and bearing carrier.
    • Shocks are standard 1956 Pontiac. Beveled spacers “level” the rear end.
    • Front upper A-arms are 1951 Kaiser – also pivots with holes slotted. Front lower A-arms are 1956 Pontiac mounted to plate welded to the frame.
    • Spindles are 1941 Pontiac Front axles are 1956 Pontiac
    • Front springs are “shortened” Henry J with one coil removed.
    • The transmission has Oldsmobile gears and Cadillac main shaft. Clutch is reworked 1951 Cadillac
    • Drive shaft is 1956 Pontiac shortened to 18 inches. Engine is 1956 Pontiac with high lift cam and Thomas conversion solid lifters. (Seller's note: The cam as found had some lobes wiped out. This is why I took apart the motor and cleaned it out. I still have this cam in case you'd like to get one ground to the old spec)
    • Brakes and wheels are standard 1956 Pontiac.
    • Steering is 1956 Pontiac gear box, 1939 Chevrolet Pitman arm, 1946 Pontiac drag link, 1960 Chevrolet U-joint shaft and shaft housing is 1960 Chevrolet lower spliced to 1949 Chevrolet upper.
    • The body is the Daytona by LaDawri. Door hinges and latches are 1956 Pontiac Trunk latch is Henry J hood latch. Trunk lid support is 1941 Pontiac. Windshield is 1956 half-ton pickup. Head lights and tail lights are 1956 Pontiac Grill is 1939 Ford grill guard.
