***SOLD*** It breaks my heart, but you can't keep them all, and the time has come to part with one of my favorites; this beautiful 1962 Ford F100 Big Window Unibody Truck. This is an incredibly rare truck; Ford only made the Unibody for two years, and the big window trucks were rarer still. And this thing is so SOLID, and it runs and drives like a champ! Let me tell you all about it. Less than 58,000 miles on the clock (I was told it was original mileage and I have no reason to doubt it), with the original 292 Y-block V8, 4 speed manual with granny-low, and Ford 9" rear end. I just put about $2,500 into this truck, with another $1,000 in Brand New parts that come with the sale. 5 new (about a year old with 2,000 or so miles on them now) STA Super Traxion 6-ply tires ($600+). Recent tune-up, with points, condenser, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, K&N air and oil filters, fresh battery and basic carburetor rebuild ($300+). Newly installed USA-made king pins installed professionally with front end alignment ($1,000+ job). A brand new 7" dual diaphragm power disk brake conversion ($600). And a freshly installed class III/IV receiver with trailer wiring ($300+). The truck also comes with a brand new tailgate and hardware from Sacramento Vintage Ford ($600+). Plus it has a newer HUGE Afco aluminum radiator that keeps it running cool in every situation I have EVER put it in. AND I just scored the unobtainium RARE ribbed stainless rear window trim, which go for nearly $1,000 when they pop up (I waited 3 years to find this one). The paint is shiny, but it's a 10-footer for sure. Or just don't wash it and call it a "patina" truck and double your value. :/ There is some rust in the drip rail area that should probably eventually be addressed, but this truck still turns heads and gets compliments, literally, EVERYWHERE I go!! And speaking of going places, I have driven this truck from the Oregon border to Southern California, and it never misses a beat! Hauling heavy loads, pulling trailers, you name it! They don't build trucks like this anymore!! Asking $8,500/obo and I'll gladly negotiate with a cash buyer in person. Low ballers and offer's via email can move on. I will eventually get around to painting/installing the tailgate, and the price will go up.
