In the 70's I had a 62 Newport. I built this 426 street wedge and put it in the Chrysler. Here's a shot with the car in it I turned out to be a "true" 140 mph car. How do I know. Got the ticket after the airplane clocked me flying low in Palmdale. The engine found it's way into my brothers Road Runner.
I have a 1962 Newport 2 door HT, how did you get the headers to work in that car you built Bonneville Avanti Dan<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_7966207", true); </SCRIPT> ?

The first photo is from when I got mine last year. The second is from the snow in December, she still look nice. and the 3 and 4th are my car is all apart being restored. 79k org miles. Motor purrs, transmission needed a little love. But not bad, no rust other than 3 minor holes in the trunk floor. They will be welded up as she is a solid 'ol thing. I had one of these in High School, loved it so much, I never forgot her. Now I have her sisiter so I'm happy! I love your barn find! It's great we get to find nice stuff from time to time. I wish my seats were as good as yours. Oh I've put Disk brakes on her, she stops wpnderful now. Can't live with out them. Eric
I had my first non failure roundtrip to a local cruise-in last night at Ted's in Clinton, IL, It is a neat diner with a 50s automotive service garage theme. In the front of the diner has a car display that gets changed out periodically.
A lot of things have happened since this car had been removed from the shed, divorce , severe child behavior issues, reconciliation with my Ex wife. I was able to purchase the 300 outright from a good friend this spring. It still needs a bunch of work but at least it is enjoyable as-is. My friend (in his new toy) my gal and I on the way to a local cruise-in. The future for the 300 will include new red upholstery on the seats, red carpey, badly needed ball joints, and in the future I think this will look good in a shade of dark blue.
