Technical 1961 IMPALA ASS'Y CODES???

On the cowl plate of my 1961 Impala there are some codes listed as

ACC. SS , L, C, AC, E

Can someone tell me what these stood for. Thanks so much Mason

 

Take a pic of the cowl tag for me.

 

Those are accessory codes (ACC)
C = padded dash
L = 4 speed
I don't know the others -- check a Chevy site....

 

The SS did not come out until after February 1961. Accessory codes are SS option, L-4 speed.....which all SS in '61 were, 4 speeds. AC-Air conditioning, C-padded dash and E may be the assembly plant. Keep in mind some assembly plants used different codes of their own for these cars. Check the 348-409.com site. That place was gold for my dad's '59 and '61 Impalas.
