Cool man! Lots of us Falcon types 'round these parts too. Check out "Doing Falcons right" for tech, and "Falcons done right" for pretty.
Nice, love the roof. Is that one of those adapters for the carbs or has the factory intake been milled off?
thats the adapter one i havent drilled out the holes in the intake yet for the front and back carbs and plus for right now thats my daily so i may just leave it for now as it saves gas and problems. its been lowered 6 inches all the way around. i am hoping to have the rest of the car painted before summer ?
Hit the "Doing Falcons right" thread and you'll find pages of ideas as to how to go about dropping one of these.
i took 3 leaf springs out of the back and used a 1 inch lowering block but it does hit on the stoppers and up front i cut 3 coils out soon to be getting a four link for her just so i can go down a little more
Not to sound too much like I'm scolding, but I'd love to see you put those spring leaves back in and get the whole pack de-arched to get down. Guys forget the leafs also control pinion angle as the car accelerates.
Cool hell it looks cold maybe you should send Her down here to Texas to keep that nasty old snow off Her.I would be willing to do that for you.Veach
Nice falcon there mate, looking good! I'm in the middle of doing my one up at the moment, just finished lowering it 2.75 inches. Would love to go lower but will have to 4 link it I guess lol. Those carbs must sound good, did they make much difference to performance?
I love the old Falcons, my last one was a '65. I'd grab another one in a flash if I could find a decent one. Bob
the shocks bottom out on the shock tower but if you raise the shock tower about an inch it rides a little better
the middle carb is only hooked up right now the front and rear are just dummies but even putting that intake manifold on helped it a little bit just cause it raised the carb up more
Very nice and welcome to the H.A.M.B! I love the fact you are running the old Offy tri-power setup....even if the front and rear carbs are just dummies. I have loved the tri-power setup since I first came across it here on the H.A.M.B. I later found a few issues of HRM from 1960 that feature it and how much power it produces on even a fairly stock 144 or 170. I will dig them out and post them here. I am currently building a '65 Sedan (which I have owned since I was 17) and I plan to build up a hot 200 6-cyl with my own version of this set up......but with 3, 2-bbl carbs and a Paxton supercharger.
