Looking good, just look at the pics above.
Nice. Buildup topic?
Beautiful, I'm in love with this car.
car is awesome, the interior is my favorite part, looks inviting for a long road trip. good work man!
i was gonna make one but u know how build threads go, they start good then u have a bunch of internet builders telling you wat ur doing wrong..lol
Still loving it
Thank you, she is certainly built for the long haul!
That's why I built mine and then started a thread! Critics can say all they want. Remember, the one's who criticize are the ones who don't have it in them to finish their own sh!t. Move the wrenches, not the mouth.
I remember seeing this car down by Brownwood, Tx. He had tons of awesome cars and projects and pet deer too! Im glad to see this car get the loving it needed from one respectful owner! Very nice!!!
Oh I know about some McDonalds.
But Yeah,like McDonalds
have you been to Towers in Davie lately ? I usually go every other week and never seen the wagon there . I would love to see it in person
People just drive me absolutely nuts with their comments.
That car is Killer! I wouldn't change a thing.
Mike is one heck of a fella. Real honest and good natured person. He does have some nice stuff down there.
I havent been to Towers in about a year, I'll have to get back down there real soon.
Thank you very much Ron for the compliments!
My son and I are LOVING your wagon. Were thinking of doing the same thing with ours. Fingers crossed!
Thank you fellas! I am here for you guys if needed with any questions during the course of your project. Feel free to ask.
I remember in the 50s, hotrodders scorned station wagons and would never consider one for a hotrod. They are suitable for moms and groceries also used on vacation, but a hotrod?? No way! they are too big and heavy.
Love the car! Keep the stock rims... Really makes the grocery getter badass!!
Hey man, I'm buddies with John Dodson, and just recently bought a '61 Nomad. You're probably going to hate me, but it was the car that John Whitworth had that your buddy Tony took you over to see a couple years ago.
I just got lucky and caught him at the right time when he was wanting to sell it.
Anyway, I LOVE what you've done with Old Gold. What's the details on the interior ? Is that a custom built setup ?
I'm probably going to be wearing you out with questions so if you don't mind, I appreciate any help you can give me. LOL !
could you post a few pics of the tailgate as you would see it sitting in the 3rd row? also how hard is it to get to the gas tank?
Engine hoist? We don' neen no steeekin injun hoist!
Cool Wagon! What happened to the little chrome (stainless?) air deflectors on the back corners though? Those were neat details!
x2! I am hoping to score a set of those some day to put on the wagon.
Those chrome air deflectors are not that little. They are at least a foot long. Back in the day they were probably a J.C. Whitney "go faster". They just don't do it for me. Not on my wagon.
