Anyone ever done this? I wasn't having any luck finding heads for the 365 but I found a good deal on a 34K mile 1961 390. Figured I would drop this in until I get the 365 back together. The oil filter might be a problem....havent tried to drop it in to see yet.

the 61 390 is suppose to be the same width block just a larger bore.

Kustom7777's 41 Caddy had a 62 Caddy engine in it, done a long time ago, so shouldn't be a problem.

got it dropped in. Used the 56 exhaust manifolds. All I had to do was dimple the passenger side down pipe to get a little clearance for the oil filter adapter.
