Just brought home an early 60's vintage drag car that I found. It was built in Austin, MN by the Thumpers Car Club. The shoulder harness in the car says it was manufactured in 1958. As far as I know the car hasn't run since 68 or 69. The car ran 9.98 at Minnesota Dragway. I have been on the HAMB for many years but never posted. Plans are to eventually run the car again.

I love seeing these spindly things that guys drove at ungodly speeds. 9.98 should be around 125 mph.

    And people think I'm crazy.

    Best of luck to ya!

    That kicks ass!
Is that the engine and intake set-up they were running?
Interesting that it's got a water pump on it... is there a radiator mount anywhere on the frame?
