Anybody have any pics of 1960 chevy pickup lower rad. mount brackets for a SBC or know where I can find pics? Mine originally had a 6 cylinder and trying to mount a SBC and rad. in it. Need some help figuring things out. Thanks-

  2. The 60 never had lower radiator mount brackets. The 60 used a honeycomb radiator that bolted to the front support. My 66 GMc I changed the front cap. it has a 61 front support and I used a big C60 honeycomb radiator. In 63 the trucks had a radiator support constisting of two U shaped brackets riveted to a crossmember.

yup, the 63 stuff is totally different. The 60 radiator looks just like a 55-59 radiator, I think...one of the old radiators I have that came in a late 50s truck was dated 1960, and the only difference was that the radiator cap neck was indented into the top tank a bit.

But if you post pictures of what your truck looks like, the back of the radiator support, we might could help you figure it out for sure.

(btw the front of the frame and associated inner sheet metal was changed in 1963, when they went to coil spring front suspension)

and that one has it's original core still!

  8. yes original core. never patched and never leaked. came from a GMC that had a 305 V6 and a automatic trans. Notice the oil cooler fittings on the bottom tank.
