Projects 1959 Ford, back from the dead

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by bobss396, Jun 30, 2016.

  1. I've had the car for almost 2 years and I'm going to be insuring & registering it soon. Paint is a far way off, just want to drive it and get it sorted out for the summer. First stop is the exhaust shop... it is currently mothering loud.

  5. Really good sounding engines should be exempt from running mufflers, just straight pipes from manifolds to bumper.

  8. 3 years on the road coming up fast. Have already broken the 4-speed, added a flex fan and electric fan, traction bars (had bad wheel hop on the 1-2 shift..), posi rear, new rear springs, big front sway bar, quieter mufflers, Mexican blanket over the front seat and just normal stuff like every NAPA-sourced part that has failed me.

  9. Have you repaired the 4 speed? HRP

  10. That was a year ago in May, found someone local to do it for me at a good $$. The car was down for around 8 days.
I was under it on Saturday to tighten one of the exhaust donuts. I need part of the exhaust done over, not happy with how it comes off the exhaust manifolds.
