6.70's should be fine once you lower it some. I was running those and 8.20's on my '54 until they wore out and had to put on my radials. My truck has a 3 in dropped axle and reversed eye springs. It put the top of the whitewall right at the fender lip. Lower it down and it will look fine.

Stock style gives about a 3 inch drop and the reversed eye gives a 5 inch drop.

Reverse eye the fronts first and then see what you have that should make a 3 in difference pretty easy. I'd also reverse eye the rears also. Momo's will bring it down more but you'l probably have to do something with the pitman arm off the steering box if you go that much.

I think all the Monos are from the same manufacturer. The nice thing about Sac Vintage around here is that standard ground shipping is 1 - 2 days. You could almost drive there and pick them up for the same price as the shipping cost. And it's a cool place to visit. Hit them up for one of their cruise nights and make it a fun road trip.

Mono's came today, Overnight from Sac vintage! Got to work, no time was wasted..out with the old, in with new mono reverse eyes.. It should drop lower once i take out or trim the snubbers, Right now the leafs are resting on the snubbers. Also need to put new shocks in.. shackles are in the mail, The old shackles have my front leafs eyes rubbing on the frame. The old leaf eyes practically rubbed through half of the frame! anybody else have that problem?

Can't reverse eye the rears, because of the front spring mount design.

  19. Liking your build 510. Just rebuilt my yblock and fordamatic on my '60. I'd really like to lower it but I don't have the cash right now. Vintage ford is great for parts, but I'm not trusting of their electrical products lately...
