Help! Does anyone know how this should go together? It's a 1959 Chevy Parkwood wagon tailgate window regulator. That's exactly what came out of the car. It's worn out and possibly missing parts that have broken and fallen out. I can make the parts once I understand what it's supposed to look like.
At the very least I think you're missing a part that GM referred to as a clutch. It probably looked something like this, though this appears to be used on later model GM cars and trucks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1956-69...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4612fc19d7&vxp=mtr Comparing it to your crank assembly I'm not sure it will engage the crank and regulator properly. Just covering my a** here.
Turns out the tab in the middle of my picture should be attached to the gear part on the right. I'll weld it back together and cross my fingers.
