I have one, all original, 223 six with a three on the tree. Pulling it down to paint it right now, going from black to red and white, too damn hot here in Texas for black. Wish I had a tri-power 390 to stuff in it, but on the other hand, my six gets over 20 mpg.

This is one I had owned since early 70s and then passed it on to my son a few years back. Nice car that belonged to my Grandma's elderly neighbor. It was a 332 4 barrel car with automatic,,dual exhausts. It took a long time to get it bought from him. It is now a 351C with 4 speed. 2nd picture is what it looks like after a moron in a 4WD Chevy runs into it head on. My son was injured some, but has recovered. The car is in my shop in pieces, but hopefully will be back on the road by spring/early summer.

I have some Trim if you need some let me know also a few parts

  11. Damn, I picked up a VERY nice one for parts for my 58 Ranchero, ended up cutting it int little scrap pieces after robbing the parts I wanted because it didn't have a title.

Sold it all and stepped into a 59 ElCamino. I get nostalgic every time I see Tuck's though.

As someone who doesn't know these cars very well, but inherited a 57 with some extra parts, how much will interchange between the 57 and the 58? I have a new (reproduction) windshield, and some other various small items as well.

Also, if anyone is in the market for a 57 project, I have a great one that doesn't need a lot to finish up. It's certainly not stock though. :)

Here's mine. Been driving it everyday for past 5 years. Just got the right hood off evilbay last week and now it is time to get serious about the bodywork and get some paint on it this year.

I had this one back in 1968. Bought it for $200 with the chrome wheels on it. Was originally a 292 3-on-the-tree. I gave it a 427 4-speed transplant. It ran great until I exploded a flywheel one night street racing. Lucky for me the local NHRA dragstrip had a techman that made me install a blowproof bellhousing if I wanted to race there. That blowproof bellhousing saved me that night.

Best thread ever. Here's one i had about 12 or 13 years ago. I found it with it FACTORY 352 INTERCEPTOR engine. yes im still kicking myself for getting rid of this thing, it was a beast. 3 on the tree too HA. Technically this is a 500, but i never had chrome for it so it always looked more like a custom 300. I hate that 500 chrome.

Here it is the day i got it:

And here it is sitting for sale after i rat-rodded it a bit and blew up that beautiful 352 :(:(:(:(

Here's the 58 custom 300 I own now. Been looking for a custom 300 2 door for years to avenge my earlier one. This ones got a 292 for now. Needs either a rebuild or an FE motor

Don't have one, however I love 'em ... '58 Custom 300 2dr is top 5 on my "Lottery List" !!!

Years ago a friend had a '57, when I asked him how he was going to build it he said " imagine Bob Falfa had a '57 Ford in stead of a Chevy " I said "Ummm ... Falfas car was a '55 " then he said " F*** YOU A$$H:cool:LE "

This was also my first car. Rust bucket but cheap back in 1970 at $65.00. Learned my first lessons on body repair....not quality work mind you. I did manage to get it going and drove it thru my senior year at HS. Sold it to my brother in '72 and he sold it a year or so later. Swapped the old 223 Six out for a nice running 292 with 312 heads and 4 barrel. The Hurst Synchrolok shifter and duals rounded out the car. We never did get it in a final paint...red primer was as far as it got.
