Anybody know if 1965 galaxie front coil springs will interchange with my 58 custom 300 front springs?

    According to Hollander Interchange, no.

There is some interchange among '57-'59 depending on body style and engine

'60-'64 all use same front springs

    '65 is different

What are you trying to do? Keep it stock or lowering it? Or just replacing weak springs?

If you want to lower it do the aerostar springs.

Was wanting to raise it back up. I cut 1 coil off stock springs and am running a 2 inch lowering block in the rear. I love the way it sits, but with my 3 kids in the back seat, it scrapes the ground at every bump. Kinda thinkin i might go 60s style raised front. No bumper and teardrop scoop. Its goin on a 2800 mile cruise next august, so lowered just isnt gonna cut it

Kanter shows same part number from 1954-1970 fullsize. Im CONFUSED!!!!!

  6. I would go by that before trusting Hollender.. I've had many parts that fit perfectly when Hollender said they wouldn't...

I dont know about the interchange but I do know Ford made a big change in their frames in 65 and 64 and earlier years.

True. If you already have the later springs, put 'em on and see if they fit.

What lowering blocks are you using? I'm looking for some for my 1958 Ranchero. Thanks.

I also used aerostars and 2in blocks on my Edsel. Best mod ever. Progressive rate improves ride quality. I'll see if I can find the shock number I used on mine when I did the drop.
