This is ‘57 Olds block (#560928) with matching 16 heads (#571870) This makes this a true j2 motor Vin #A273926 This motor is a dealer replacement motor, fully rebuilt about about 30 years ago ,but never sold. Crank turned .030, rods .020 all new bearings, block bored 40 over with new pistons/rings. New cam, timing chain, rebuilt oil pump and good pan. I took this engine apart so I could show you what I found, you can see the photos, this motor is dirty because of setting for over 30 years with no valley cover, but stored inside and turns free. I checked the lifter bores (brushed one and inserted a lifter) Heads look great, took a valve out, looks to have had a valve job maybe new valves, new springs. This is a rare find, a like new 30 year old motor, sorry I don’t more but have more pictures if your interested . Over $1000 in machine work and parts all factory replacement parts not imports. On the oil pan was written, “j2 needs intake” but I found it didn’t have shim head gasket? BUT ALL NUMBERS ARE CORRECT AND HEADS ARE A MATCHED PAIR. $750 [email protected]
