1957 ford seat the same as a 1956 ford seat?

i need a seat for my 57 ranch wagon and a guy has a seat that is out of a 56 ford. does anyone kno if they are the same? i kno i can go messure it but the 2 cars are 200 miles apart.

It might fit but they aren't the same. They look different and are padded different. Its been too many years since I had a 56 but I remember its not like any 57 I ever had.

 

The 57 was a different design from the 56 and you will probably sit higher,as the 56 seat is thicker than the 57's.

 

Not the same. 58-59 Fords will probably fit ok if you can find one.

There are 2 styles for 57-58, 300 and 500. They interchange but look different. 59 is all by itself. You can bolt in a seat from a 56 but you will be sitting about 3" taller in the car. Not a good deal. Also I just happen to have a nice 300 split back seat I could make you a good deal on but shipping would kill ya.
