Scored a really straight hood today! The fins on mine are dented in and has a few dents and creases here and there. For $45 I couldnt pass it up! Its off a cameo, so Im gonna weld in all the trim holes. [IMG]

nice score on the hood, hard to find deals like that. Post a video of your truck going down the road again or a walk around.

Ya. I miss my straight pipes. It sounded so mean! Now I have these cheap magnaflow glasspacks and it sounds like vagina, and not in a good way.

Man! I figured you would have this thing painted hot pink by now! What's the hold up??

Oh man... Welding your firewall sucked ass! Nothing like welding while laying upside down with no room for a welding helmet and very little light and the risk of a molten hot metal ball either catching the truck on fire or having it go down your sleeve. Good times!

    Keep goin! Lookin' good!

I started apprenticing at the tattoo shop I go to, so thats where all my time goes now! I thought it was fun welding up the firewall, and we didnt burn the truck down so that was pretty cool too!

Another thing to add to the list of shit to do: New headers. The welds on mine keep cracking, and I dont think they are worth pulling out and re welding. They are a pain in the ass to work on, and are pretty beat up. The only issue is that I'm not sure if I have clearence between the steering box. Anyone have pics of there headers?

Taylor, I personally decided against headers. I've had two different sets on this truck in the past, and have dealt with a half dozen on other vehicles, and the bolts coming loose and the leaks you get just aren't worth it in my opinion. You may want to consider the reproduction Corvette exhaust mainfolds as an option. They are 2 1/2 in and flow as well as any low end header and nearly as well as any set of Thorleys or comperable high end header. The bolts wont come loose, so you won't hear leaks, and there is plenty of room with the starter and the steering in place. Just a thought...
