We just got our '56 Mercury out of the shop having a full air ride setup put on it. Jerry Starling out of Hollister, Mo did the install and did an awesome job. Rides like a caddy. Anyway just wanted to share some pictures of it. First show that we are planning to have it at is the NSRA event in Springfield, Mo this weekend. See below for some picture of the merc and my roadster. We're pretty proud of it.
I believe so. I believe it is the Niagara Blue. They had 3 blues that year; Niagara Blue, Lauderdale Blue and Tyrolean Blue. It is not C-Notched. We thought we were going to have to raise the driveshaft tunnel but when setting up the rear end we were able to just barely have enough clearance. If something went wrong the car is still drivable in the down position. However no sharp turns.
LIKE yer Merc! Especially the hood treatment Here's 2 of mine OOPs, I mean 3 -- LOVE them Mercs! the "woodie" is a 55 Monterey I restored in the early 80s -- gittin them "woodgrain" panels to line up was a PITA! [ hadta take the doors off but, it came out all right --
