Well If you like Patina then the clear helps it stay like it is. Won't get worse & yes it will not get better! Bill

  9. Would look great with a shiny new paint job

  10. Mine isn't a big window. But it has the surface rust. Same rear bumper as the first truck pictured. I will take a wire brush on a drill and remove as much as possible. Rust converter and flat black paint. Ive pulled the front clip and 352 FE engine. Gonna get a nailhead that I already have. The last picture that bondo is almost 50 years old1 56 ford truck 002.JPG 56 ford truck 003.JPG 56 ford truck 004.JPG 56 ford truck 006.JPG 56 ford truck 005.JPG

  11. I noticed the fordomatic scrirt on the hood. Mine also had a factory automatic trans and chrome grill. It was a 272 Y block originally.

I don't think of rust as patina. Aged faded paint yes. rust no.

  14. Ive got this nail head and a stick trans for it. Was gonna install it in a 50 sedan delivery. But sold the delivery so I decided it will find a home in the 56 Pk. ngines 003.JPG ngines 005.JPG

My 54. Left the body as found. Went through the mechanicals; upgraded to a 292 y block, all new brake system, new wiring harness, converted to 12 volts.

Metal Eating Rats it looks like to me! Nice! Tks!

  28. My first car was a 56 F-100. And although 56's have grown to be my least favorite 50's Ford pickup, a big window 56 is the cat's meow!
