Picked up some fenderwell headers today, they will have to prolly be modified to fit since they came from a blazer, but at least its a starting point, i think we are gonna step them anyway, so this should work nice.

Yessir, originally we were gonna go for the gusto and try to do 11"s but it just wasnt practical in our time frame, so we settled on roughly 4"s i hope that even is enough to make a difference. Guess we will see, im figuring once i get a trans-brake she should do some pretty nice wheelies lol

Nothing like doing it all the right way. Nice to see a Dana 60 under the rear. Bullit proof. Look forward to seeing this one completed. Nice work.

neighbor lent me a front runner to see what she looks like down on the wheels with skinnys ( no i wont be running drag stars , i just dont have front wheels yet) Looks pretty good, final stats, engine set back 6"s, rear wheels forward 1" and front wheels forward about 2"s, i think it looks pretty sweet!

Tin work for the trunk is all set , just waiting on the cage to finish welding it in, but all the pieces are cut and fitted.

    from Downey, Ca

I've often stared at that box and wondered if it would fit a Tri Five. What later year and model is that from/for?

That is for the very rare 1959 1/2 Honey Nut Bel Air, parts are very hard to find! =D

  25. Those engine mounts going to get a brace ? They just look a little spindly, now the rest I like very much, even cheating the wheelbase.

Yeah when we pull the body back off the frame to paint it, we were gonna hit that and a couple other small details, i think we are gonna make some straps that will go all the way around, picture a piece of flat stock shaped in a U.

Sure you want to go with the 55 nose on the 56 ? Don’t see as many 56's. Just something to think about. :) Car looks great. Love the motor set back.
    Stevie’s 56 with the 55 nose.

And with the 56 nose (made it faster... ;) )

Because of time constraints (we are trying really hard to get it done for Autorama Detroit in March) It will have the 55 front end this year for sure. Next year tho? .......
