I ditched the hub caps and went with black on the wheels .What do you all think? Thanks Bruce.
Looks like it's missing it's hubcaps....
Your car, your choice, that is what this is all about.
I like it, but personal preference would be wider whites !
Car like that deserves better than removing the hub caps and calling it done. It's not a coupe, or any sort of performance related model. Now it looks like someone stole the hub caps. And take a razor blade to the back window......
She needs 2 1/2 wide whitewalls. Please put the original hubcaps back on. The car will be perfect then.
Hdonlybob, the old tires had the wide white walls but I didn't care for them. I think the thinner white walls give her a sharper cleaner look. I am just sayin. Bruce.
OK the hub caps will go back on.Thanks Bruce.
Yup it needs hub caps I think. Gary
What look are you going for? That might help with what the wheels need. I dont mind the tires.
I'm a little late - on both of my vehicles I run black steel wheels with trim tings and chrome lug nuts. Classic looks for anything.
I like the black wheels. Red if it were mine. Glad you are paying attention. This wagon needs hubcaps. Preferable full caps similar to original. Wide whites would look cool. But even on my 55 Chevy wagon I went narrow because they were handy and cheaper.
Mostly stop playing with it and drive it.
I like the idea of the chrome lug nuts!Bruce.
50 years ago, narrow whites with black wheels was very common. You saved up for some baby moons. I remember lots of cars in neighborhood with that look.
Chrome lugnuts will make it resemble the spinster aunt of my '58 roadmaster.
I like the blacl wheels hub caps no hubcaps, they just look right.
Spider caps would help !
I vote two things:
Any hubcap over a bare black wheel on a cruiser
Start a build thread on your car and keep everything in one place rather than posting new threads every time.
Building a hot rod is like taking a trip: decide where you're going, then go there.
