Have you ever noticed that all the 1955 Victorias have a roofline with a more steeply sloping C pillar than the Crown Victoria. All of the Victorias got the more gently sloping C pillar in 1956. Why was the 1955 Crown Victoria roofline different from the 1955 Victoria? This is not a trivia quiz; I'd really like to know.

  2. Cause the 55 Crown was a spiffed up 2 door sedan.

No, it was not a spiffed up 2 door sedan. The 1955 2 door sedan had a steep back window and a different backlight (back window) than the Crown Victoria. While the Crown Victoria did have a B pillar, it did not share the roofline with the 2 door sedan.

The 55 crown vic and convertible shared the same windshield with the lower roof line then the victoria 2 door hard top that looks to share the same windshield and roof height as the sedans,in 56 the victoria 2 door hard top got the same windshield and roof height as the crown vic and convertible. One of these days I want to build a 55 non crown vic 2 door hard top with a 56 body.
