My vote would be green.
<--- Green obviously
What ever color you choose, it should be a very heavy paint!! Definitly with lead in it. It might slow ya down a bit but......
Says a man with one of those ultra light Henry Js!
It is a scientifically proven fact that MOPAR colors are worth 1/2 10th!
Nice to see others hard at it, I have to look at other project to keep the fire lit on my on.

Yes. 100% true for a lot of us.
I should have built a gasser. Damn. After I missed a fiberglass nose, those dreams fell apart.
A lot of lower class tri-5 gassers were all steel. Just weld the front clip together and tilt it.
Looking good Zak! You are ahead of me...but im trying. 2018 season is coming fast!
That car is gonna be a game changer !
Who's doors are those?, I got a Frontend from unlimited and not exactly happy with it.. kinda rough
Zak, thot you might wanna see what the green looks like on a '55 Chevy.
Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
One of my all time favorite 55s
I’m not 100% sure what these doors are, dad got them from a buddy. But the rest is fiberglass unlimited and just like my 57 the glass is a little rough, but light. And the price is right.
Looks good! I’ve got a 57, and dads got a 55, we need a 56 next!
We got the steering done, had to swap the tie rod to the rear so the Ackerman was correct with the arms, but now everything looks good and should work. Next up is changing the outriggers, fixing the quarters, and getting the body out of the way so we can finish weld the cage, ladder bar crossmember, etc.
Congrats on coming in top 5 in points Brian! Wished you coulda made it to the banquet man
Thanks brother!! Had to work this weekend, bummer but pays for parts!!
After more discussion with Quain, we cut the front plate down so it looks more 1960s correct. After a coat of black paint it’ll be perfect.
After finishing the plate today, rounded the corners, and clipped the plate so it doesn’t cover the front of the head any.
Lookin' good gentlemen!
What rear wheels are you running.I have a set of 11x16 American bearclaw funny car wheels if you what something like that for the 70's look.Never had a tire mounted on them
Well our painter came through for us with free paint off his shelf. It’s 1970-71 Ford grabber orange. I think it’ll look good on dads 55.
And it will go faster with FORD paint.
Free paint is always good. I have 2 gallons of about the same color that was free. I also have a gallon of candy apple red. Thought about 2 tone and see how it looks together.
I see the fireplace is getting a workout!! Keep it up!
Cann’t Resist some comments on yellow cars. Bright yellow can attract bugs in my area, crazy to walk up to car & find tons of little back bugs all over. Park some shades yellow on grass & take on a green tint - ugly. I go to farm hardware store & buy cheap “caterpillar bulldozer” yellow- a mustard tint yellow that I think looks great & can always match. Pretty close to Mustang 17 above.
Looks good Zak, you know the old motto, “if it’s free, it’s for me”.
