my ride is not a gasser but as it sits now, 454 dn 5 speed and 9". I just look at all these bad ass rides and dream about radiusing the wheel wells and adding some fenderwell headers with a 2x4 tunnel ram. in the future perhaps. i would be good to go with that. oh yeah, and more hp /tq. the sky blue pic is how it started out when i got it in 05. cali windows and all.

  8. Hey Thx Kiwi-man,
Yeah shit definately happens. But at least I'm dealing with it accordingly and addressing a few problems and making it Bitchin'-er.

  9. That is the first copy of that book I have seen in years. I used to borrow a copy of that book from my elementary school back in the early 1980's. Looking back, wish I would have forgot to return it!

Tire and rim size sound good for your stance. Rear wheel well opening from 55' wagon work (you have to extend them a little) but looks kool!

I ran across this picture well, the other one in a flash back article of a mag from the 80s, cut it out and varnished it along with a bunch of other classic gassers on a piece of wood. I've had that photo on the wall ever since 1987.

Baddest gasser ever -When I grow up I want one just like that! lol!!

  24. Yeah,i really like the look of this one too. They were built quite a bit lower in the eighties as times were getting quicker.Looks like those butterflies are fully opened. Cool. Kiwi Kev,thanks for the neat pic..

Heres my first project car, its doesnt have the straight axle though, the previous owner threw a S-10 front end underneath it. It has a mildly built 454 with a Saginaw 4 speed and 59 olds rear with 4.56 gears w/spool. It has a ways to go but I got a good start and if it goes as planned I should have it on the road by the end of summer. It had 15x10 slots in the back but the guy I bought from towed it home and a tire blew also tearing up the fender.:( p.s. great thread I have really been enjoying going threw it.
