Anybody know any details on this car? I had a conversation with a buddy about Bonneville cars. He mentioned that I should take my '55 out there at some point. Well, that ain't gonna happen. We were talking about what it would take to get one over 200 mph. Anybody know what this car ran? What the drivetrain is? Any other Tri Fives that run on the Salt?
Deans Hot Rod shop outta Phoenix..... a very wicked car. Talk to Jeem about it. I have pics somewhere of that car in there shop....kinda up close and personal like....
If this is the car I think it is , I saw it a couple years ago at Hot Rods by Dean, in Phoenix,, owned by a Texan, most rust free car I have ever seen, I think some giant big block chev for power,,, it was just in mock up when I saw it, though. Howard
Yep..and it has a ton of chevy valve cover lead ingots in the trunk for ballast. A very killer super nice..... and fast 55.
Check out the new Car Culture Deluxe. It has a spread on the car, fastest time at bonneville this year 198.5mph. I think it may be the fastest stock body 55 on the planet. Hot Rods By Dean built the car from a original 38,000 mile car, owner is Sydney Allen. Also it is a sbc.
I heard somebody say that 200 mph on the salt was one of the promises that the shop made to the car owner before the car was considered "done". I saw it go 198. Don't know if it ever got to 200. It sure looked good going by at speed.
