that can looking thing looks like a part of an add on AC system... like a receiver drier / accumulator
The four door is sweet, the wierd thing is a recirculating block heater which you don't need in Oregon and the last one is a tranmission heater/cooler used until the mid fifties when they started putting them in the bottom of the rad.
What the....???? The ride is awesome.. that cylinder thing is scaring me! Maybe it's a flux capacitor? Have you tried a little time - travel in it? Whoa. Nothing like a little home-brewed ingenuity. The Chev is awesome and the possibilities are endless.. have fun mon'!
I pulled the car in the shop during lunch, turns out the cylinder is NOT a flux capacitor its a block heater. thanks for all the help. I do live in South Salem, But the picture in question was taken in Eugene where I bought the car.
