  3. that can looking thing looks like a part of an add on AC system... like a receiver drier / accumulator

    The four door is sweet, the wierd thing is a recirculating block heater which you don't need in Oregon and the last one is a tranmission heater/cooler used until the mid fifties when they started putting them in the bottom of the rad.

    The ride is awesome.. that cylinder thing is scaring me! Maybe it's a flux capacitor? Have you tried a little time - travel in it? Whoa. Nothing like a little home-brewed ingenuity.

    The Chev is awesome and the possibilities are endless.. have fun mon'!

    I pulled the car in the shop during lunch, turns out the cylinder is NOT a flux capacitor :( its a block heater. thanks for all the help.

    I do live in South Salem, But the picture in question was taken in Eugene where I bought the car.

    Drove the ol beast home tonight. Very excited to get the carb tuned just right.
