OK.... I'm a f'n idiot I pulled the windshield off this Vette for a dash repaint which required disconnecting some electrical and I didn't take pictures. Didn't realize it was going to take the painter 2+ months to do the job. Now I'm having trouble since I have a severe case of CRS. I need a schematic for the radio and heater. These are not included on factory wiring diagrams since they were options. 53-57 should be the same but I've spent hours looking.
Schematic? There's a gray wire for the light, and a brown wire for power for the heater, and a similar wire for power for the radio. If there's an accessory fuse panel, the wires all plug into it. If not, they connect to the ignition switch. and the headlight switch. But I'm just guessing...you really need the Accessory Installation Guide for the car http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/
Thanks Jim, Yea, I'm hoping somebhody has one. I don't want to guess. This is a customer's 98 point car and I want it to be 100% correct. I already looked on the oldcarmanulaproject site.
The car is at work so I don't have it to look at. The real wire in question is a large yellow coming out of the harness. It has this style connector on the end but it's factory, not aftermarket. It's pretty long and could reach about anywhere. Could be for 'High" on the heater but not 100% sure. I didn't spend any time on wiring Friday, just got the components back in the dash and it was quittin' time. I can figure it out but it's easier from my computer chair than laying under the dash.
I was saying the same thing about 4 months ago and BLAM here I am. My 'classic car' job was offered through my build thread on the HAMB.
