The time has come for me to sell my 53 Dodge pilothouse truck. The truck itself was a frame off build I did with my father while I was in highschool. Most everything is new or been redone on the chassis. The chassis was also completely painted with KBS rust protective paint. The engine is a 1976 Corvette 350, it has a really lumpy cam and it runs like a raped ape. Overall a great running engine. Rebuilt stock radiator with an electric fan. It is backed by a th400 with a lokar shifter kit. It also has an electronic to mechanical drive unit for the speedometer. The rear end is a chrysler 8-1/4 out of a '93 Jeep Cherokee with 3.55 gears and has all new drum brakes and a pinon seal. The front axle is a dropped axle from Nostalgia Sid, with rusty hope disc brakes. Everything is new so it stops on a dime. It still has the stock cross steer box which has a little wear but drives straight down the road, no wandering. Like new 670-15 and 820-15 coker whitewalls with 1954 chrysler hubcaps. I had the stock seat reupholstered in white and black. The rear fenders are re radiused to match the fronts. Custom made rear tail light panel with 52 buick tail lights. Brand new oak floor in the bed. The paint is fresh on it and it has been sitting in the garage, it will clean up great.

Anything the truck is missing in the pictures like the grille/glovebox (signed by Gene Winfield) I have and is included in the sale. There are also tons of extra parts (doors, hood, running boards, etc) included.

As you can see by the pictures, there are some things that still need to be addressed but I have put a few thousand miles on this truck and it runs great. I would not hesitate to jump in and drive across the country. I used this nearly daily for about 2 years as it was my only option for a pickup.

The truck is licensed in PA although the inspection has lapsed do to us having it apart to paint it. I will be getting it inspected in the upcoming week or so. Clear title in my name. Open to offers or trades for early fords (pre 50). I am only getting rid of it because I have lost interested in this style build, it is still a great truck and a ton of fun. Highly motivated to sell, shoot me an offer...
