That grille is 30% of a custom Merc. Love 'em. And that body style just screams, "customize me"! Good luck. I'm anxious to see it almost finished.

I just sold a '56 330 to a good buddy. Had low miles on it. Kinda miss seeing it on its stand.

Two steps forward and one step back. This time our steering wheel is done and its incredible. We have a great video of it here. It also happens to be our newest video release.

  6. That was awesome! Who doesn't want one of their wheels in their Cruiser???

I really need to get back on this car. I dropped it off 3 years ago to have a four link put in the rear and set it up for air ride. Still nothing has been done. But at least its not in my way at my house. Free storage? Need to sell off some other projects and get this one on the road. I've done so much work to it, looking back now it could have been on the road pretty quickly, I kept putting off assembling it for the paint work. Thats been over ten years now. UGH.

  9. just start putting a little time to it on a regular basis and soon enough it will be done. I am looking forward to more progress.

Thats a great idea, and if it were at my house I could do that. But, I literally have not seen it in three years, so I'm hoping its all still okay. Once I sell off some of my projects I'll have room to bring it home.

Well, it's not much but its an update. Sanded and primed one of the doors. I have the fender and the other door dug out and should be getting to those soon. More pics and video updates to come.

The DeSoto is finally back home with me, much worse than when it left to get some work done on it. Tired of flaky people not doing what they say they will do. The good news is I have a brand new plan for it and have never been more excited to jump back into this build. Its been 19 years since I drug it home. Way to much time has passed.

Thanks for the update and while your news is not good at least the cat is still safe in your care. I was wondering what had happened to this build and I am glad you are still trying to get ahead on it.

I've been wondering where it went too. HAHA. Thankfully the car was safe, even though it wasn't supposed to be outside. The build will now be moving forward finally. Its been way too long, its time to get busy. Which also means selling most of my other cars.

Starting to clean out the car and strip out the old upholstery. Its interesting, it seems to have had a really nice car cover put on the seats, guessing in the 60s since the car was last tagged in 1969. The covers are as nice as the original material. Also finding some large rats nests, the smell is pretty intense. But nothing alive thankfully.

A GIANT V8 emblem, love the design of these. And finishing up the last of the rat infested upholstery removal. All the seats are down to the bare metal now.
