Hey guys I need some help!..I'm thinking about doing a mild chop on my 1953 Cadillac and trying to find someone good around north or central Cali. Looking to keep the original rear window and rear pilar style... Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

That car is beautiful. There is absolutely nothing to gain, IMO, by chopping the top.

I appreciate the compliments, but it looks a lot nicer in pics...the 25 year old paint job is cracked and old. It's going to be repainted soon (same color if I don't chop it) and I'm definitely 100% bagging it.... I just keep kicking around the whole chop idea... They look awesome with a nice mild chop IMO. This purple caddy has the chop I'm looking at.

I Love Chopped Top cars !!
But don't even think about doing that on the Caddy.........
The hard part is in the finish work, not the actual chop. Most don't get finished.
Enjoy your Nice Caddillac-lac. Just lower it with good taste. Good Luck. :)

Sell it to me and buy yourself a ford to be chopped...
That one was perfect from the factory. Standard of the world.

Welcome from the Fresno area. Central California is a big area, care to be a little more exact with your location?

  14. Wondering why you have this posted in the introduction forum pages instead of on the main board??

  15. Welcome! Love the car, but you should post this on the main forum for the topic of the caddy to get more attention.

Yes of course, I've shipped already five cars from the States to Finland.
Can't get them here without paying the ferryman...

I say chop it. If it's more of the direction you're going for , why not ? Your car looks killer already but it's like a never ending itch you'll have if you don't do it .
