1952 Ford F1 daily build

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by THR1LL3R, Jul 26, 2012.

  1. Fabbed up a new trans mount for the AOD somehow fit in the truck without having to cut on the body

Other than making the mount adding some length to my xpipe is all I had to do...

Painted the rad black aswell as the rest the motor

Put Merc caps on the truck until my 40 caps come in..
    Honestly I kinda like it..

  2. Guess it depends how low you wanna go, you can always do it later just remember to set your pinion angle

  4. Finally got it out and took it for a trip around the city...when I bought these Merc caps for my shoebox I never thought Id love them on my truck. Since I had ordered the 15x7 early wheels and my caps and rings I felt I should mount them and give them a shot...what do you guys think?

  5. I like them both, but everybody runs caps and rings (including me). I'd stay with the Merc wheel covers. My $.02
    Trucks nice by the way.

Love this truck man! Its got a great look! I say caps and rings. It just runs with what the truck is.. Just my thoughts though. You honestly couldn't go wrong with either though! Thanks for sharing this truck with us man!

    Cheers,
    Biff

  7. Nothing wrong with the Merc caps but I think the contrast of the wheel showing through between the caps and rings is where it's at. Nice truck

Real nice looking truck! Your project inspire me a lot, I'm currently building a 51.

I prefer the ring + cap!

  18. You're gonna love that high output motor. Stick a E303 or B303 cam in. Miles of smiles. I had a few 80's era 5.0 Mustangs.

Very nice build THR1LL3R! The F1 is looks great. So your running 15x5 and 15x7 Early Ford Wheels on it, what are the tires and sizes?
