    216 6 with pg worn out.Have 55 235 with 3sp.Will the 216 auto flywheel work on 235.Where are the 216 passenger car mounts located on engine.My 235 pu mounts are on the side by the front cover.What should i look for to mount the later 235.Thanks Jimmie King

    I thought the powerglide models were 235s

    I think starting in '53 the glides were 235's. look at the w ay the valve covers mount. Center bolts-216- perimeter bolts only-235.

    All PG cars had 235 engines, and some stick cars too. My '52 3speed is a 235 dipper. The valve covers have two bolts till '55. A 235 has the short side tin plate that ends at the head surface, the 216 cover goes up around the plugs.
