    Hello everyone.
So there was this oil filter that connects to the block at the oil distributor, I want to install fenton exhaust headers but the oil filter is in the way, so I got a delete plate, now my question is do I leave the valve type thing in under the plate what exactly is the purpose of this? Thanks...

You need to replace all the parts that came on it. Things don't work right without them. It delivers oil to the right place/right time.
    '41-'53 216 or 235 parts will fit.

Yes, the valve needs to stay.
