If you're looking for a traditionally-styled mild custom convertible, read on ...

It's also worthwhile to note that I'm posting this ad for my brother Richard who lives in San Marcos TX. If you have questions or would like to discuss further, you'll need to contact him directly at (mobile) 940-368-5571 or by firing him an e-mail at [email protected]. He's not HAMB-enabled so don't use the "Conversations (PM)" approach.

This car began life as a `52 Chevy hardtop but has since been given a haircut, and a set of working convertible top bows were fabricated by owner. Chop is 4" and is complemented by a comparably chopped one-piece Oldsmobile windshield. Recent paint is single-stage, and any pieces of trim which appear to be missing are merely awaiting the necessary clips for re-installation Convertible top and interior (including carpet) are recent as well. Car also includes a one-piece hood with 78 3" louvers that is still in bare metal. Both bumpers have been converted to one-piece units but have not yet been finished. Its a running, driving, registered, street-legal vehicle with a clear Texas title. And it sits L-O-W without use of bags and rides/drives extremely well; total height at the highest point is only 51 1/2" Short version: get in it and go!

Numerous custom touches have been added to the original sheet metal and are specifically listed below but a quick summary would include such things as `53 Buick headlight buckets, slightly modified `55 Buick dash with VDO gauges, frenched `41 Olds taillights, `61 Impala wheel, `63 Pontiac bucket seats with a modified console from an Olds Starfire of the same year, custom grille surround, yadda yadda. Consult the list for a more complete enumeration of modifications and upgrades as follows:

    ’52 Chevrolet Custom Convertible:
    - 4” chopped working convertible top
    - ’53 Buick Headlights.
    - ’41 Olds Taillights.
    - ’55 Buick Dash with VDO gauges.
    - ’61 Impala Steering Wheel on an ’84 Camaro Tilt Column.
    - ’63 Pontiac Bucket Seats.
    - Shortened / Narrowed ’64 Olds Starfire center console.
    - Lake Pipes
    - Louvered Hood (not painted -78 3”louvers)
    - ‘70 Nova front suspension with Power Steering.
    - ’77 Chevy Van 292 cid inline 6 cylinder with finned Offy aluminum trim.
    - Offy 4-barrell intake manifold, and a 650 cfm Edelbrock .
    - ’77 Van cross-flow aluminum radiator.
    - GM Turbo 350 Automatic and a Chevy 10 bolt rear end.
    - 14” Coker whitewall radials with spun aluminum disc-type wheel covers.

Asking price is $25,000 and Richard would be willing to entertain serious offers that approach that number. But ... if you're interested ... room for negotiation on price is extremely limited, so don't bother with low-ball offers. Sorry, he's not willing to trade. This car is being reluctantly offered for sale because what he really needs at this point is C-A-S-H. Thanks for looking...
