My Dad just picked up this 51 Victoria for himself. It has a 302 with a c4 that sounds great and runs really strong. We still want to do some upgrades to it though. It still has the factory front and rear suspention. We want to put power steering and power brakes with disc in the front. I am trying to find the best way to do it. so far i have found 2 choices use a disc brake kit from speedway and fab up some mounts and linkage to use a 88-89 cavalier power rack or go all the way and put a mustang II front suspention on it. i am open to any other suggestions as well.
Nice car. One option if you want to go rack is check out Unisteer. I know a guy who put one of there kits in and loves it. It's a bolt in and no turning radius loss. Pricey thou. 16 hun or so.
You are going to get a lot of different opinions here on your 2 questions. I sure have mine after many years doing chassis work and lot's of 49-51 Fords. You couldn't give me a Fat Man unit for myself though I've installed several. They are not the fit's all fix for everything that rolls. Also power brakes with an in the floor pedal brings issues. Going to swing pedals is harder than you might think (plus they look wrong). Do lot's of home work. Ask yourself. How bad is what we have now and what could be done to improve it as is? Don't get caught up in changing everything because everyone else does. The Wizzard Yes my avitar is 1 of my drivers.
