i need to do a rebuild on my steering box, and was planning on ordering the parts from dennis carpenter...it doesn't come as a kit, but he sells everything i need (including an NOS worm gear and shaft) to do the rebuild...everything would be just under $300 + shipping...does anyone have experience with these parts?? good fit, quality, etc...thanks, bob

  2. There are places that will rebuild it for around that much.

Just a suggestion try out shoeboxford.com the forum there is fantastic and the hosts sell boxes that are already rebuilt for around $400ish. Have you tried adjusting the box that you have? You're certain it needs rebuilt? Good luck and let us know what you decide.
