We had a pretty good road trip in our original Ford pickup, but it will soon need brake work. Problem is the F2 brake drums do not seem available. Anyone had a similar situation/solution? Appreciate it. Marty
Hopefully your drums are good. Now is the time to start searching for good originals. The other option....... Find a later model replacement. This may mean changing the backing plates ect ect for proper fitment.
I don't have a problem getting them turned, but pretty sure they will be out of spec. Pretty rough shape, front ones anyway.
A quick search on the net got me this.....http://www.jonesbrosbrakes.com It says they can make rare drums. It's probably expensive but when you weigh the cost of changing out stuff and considering it"s a part that lasts 60 years.....maybe not so bad.....
