We had a pretty good road trip in our original Ford pickup, but it will soon need brake work. Problem is the F2 brake drums do not seem available. Anyone had a similar situation/solution? Appreciate it. Marty

Hopefully your drums are good. Now is the time to start searching for good originals. The other option.......
Find a later model replacement. This may mean changing the backing plates ect ect for proper fitment.

I don't have a problem getting them turned, but pretty sure they will be out of spec. Pretty rough shape, front ones anyway.

If you haven't done it already, try the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum. I'm sure there's help there.

A quick search on the net got me this.....http://www.jonesbrosbrakes.com

It says they can make rare drums. It's probably expensive but when you weigh the cost of changing out stuff and considering it"s a part that lasts 60 years.....maybe not so bad.....
