Had yet another productive weekend, got a bunch more of my little parts painted; door hinges, little brackets and covers for the door jambs, the silver dash pieces, etc. I also had 2 of my friends come over, one of them started tackling the wiring harness while the other did the brakes on the car. Of course, a simple brake job turned into replacing all of the hardline to.

That's just because green is the way to go haha My paint is 6V4, its a 2009-2014 Toyota color. I can't wait to get the rest of the car painted, but it's gonna be a while still for that. I gotta get the interior all buttoned up and finish getting it driving again first.

Looks great man! Really reminds me of my first project.

Make any more progress on the front grille/bumper situation? Its hard to beat the stock 50 Pontiac front, sometimes change for the sake of change isn't always better, but I'm sure you'll come up with something cool.

Here's a picture of my old '51 for inspiration since they're basically the same color haha
I used a 53 Buick grille flipped upside down.

I eventually repainted the roof green since the fastback didnt take too well to being two tones..

What's the story on that sneaky '49-50 Olds blocking the driveway?

Started with the interior; new door panels, package tray, kick panels, oil/temp/fuel guages, painted the floor, etc.

Its not the best, but I did 4 door panels, 2 kick panels, package tray and stripped/painted all the door tops and window frames for less than $60... so I'm not complaining. I was waiting on windshield and back window gaskets so i could pull the glass and paint the roof and dashboard... that still hasn't happened, and the seats still need to be recovered.[/QUOTE]

What type of padding did you use between the door panel and vinyl cover?
