Im digging it! Screw the haters! Good Luck.
Nice build... great pics of your work... will be watching your progress!
Thanks guys! Coming soon, triangulated 4 link, can he do it or will he eff it up, stay tuned!
Well here's what I got! Slow going but old rear is out, ive got this 8.8 out of a mustang. I have a universal 4 link with adjustable bars I can use or I can use these that are factory after aftermarket. I like the ones pictured because they are already set up for this rear, and also where those spring perches are in the lower bars I can locate my air bags. My question to anyone reading with experience is: are these bars too short? I can make cross members to mount them I'm just wondering if the travel is right, if it will work in this application. Any feed back is appreciated!
And I just sat it in there to get a look it's definitely not in it's final resting place, so don't flambay me about my 20 degree pinion angle in the pics lol
Anyone care to weigh in....
I'm not an engineer, so I wouldn't have much to contribute about chassis work.
This is a cool thread! I have a 51 that I'm building. Not doing bags on mine, maybe someday, just cut the front a coil and a half to go for a 3"drop and had rear springs made lowered 3" for now.
I'm really interested in seeing this come a long!
I also put a 350 in mine. I used universal cut to fit mounts for the motor and the transmission-bopth400. What are your plans on mounts etc?

Well, four months later. What HAPPENED to =====this summer come hell or high water ?
Well got a Lil side tracked on my daily, 85 c10 had to rebuild the motor, but don't worry I just got a tig welder so the rear end is going in Pontiac this weekend! I didn't give up she will still be going by this summer lol its hard when you wanna do everything perfect lol more updates soon!!!!!
Motor mounts haven't decided yet right now focus is rear end and it's my first 4 link so I'm going slow measure 8 times weld once kind of thing lol appreciate all the interest guys, gives me motivation!!!
This was holding me up a bit too didn't trust the old harbor freight mig for the 4 link brackets, got a nice esab tig/stick, I'm much better tig welder than mig anyway so.... Plus I needed somewhere to put all my stickers lol
Lil off topic but this is my dd motor that I just built that's what ate up some of my time, plus 60hrs a week at work not enough hours in the day!!! Back on track next weekend though!!
