I think a Citation power R&P will work, with some fabbing. They both have the inner tie rods a few inches apart so a plate can be made to fit the early linkage to the rack.

Thanks! Do you know what year? 80s? I've been looking and I think r and p is the way to go looks like it will fit well just couldn't find dimensions on any of them, they are cheap enough though that it should be a fairly easy conversion....

That sounds pretty ambitious. I thought you were going to say a year or two. What color are you going to paint it? I have an original factory shop manual for it so if you don't have one and need some info on the car let me know. I also have a couple of different 1950 Pontiac brochures and an owner's manual too. Good luck....

Yea im pretty impatient lol but it's going pretty well so far, for paint, now don't crucify me, purple. Not gay foo foo purple. I like that flat black look but it's been done to death, im envisioning a super dark satin purple, I haven't seen it done alot, maybe for a reason lol, but I think with all the chrome it would look awesome, im talking almost looks black deep dark satin purple....I've actually got the shop manual I found one online, would love to see the brochures bet they are cool, post some pics on here if you can, im going to try and keep the interior all stock, use factory gauges, leave the awesome radio in dash and just redo the door panels, seat etc..Not quite sure what im gonna do in the back seat or refinish the "platform"..Thanks for the luck im sure ill need it!

Had these rotors sitting around to put on my 85 c10, and wouldn't you know it they fit perfect with the scare bird kit, wonder if they know....these were cheaper than the ones they suggest with the kit and they are drilled and slotted, might shoot them an email, let em know, cause it saves a lil money to their customers! Look good though huh! Stay tuned for brake lines 101 coming up next!

  8. 5x5 bolt pattern.
There's a camaro rotor that swaps with the mid 80s c10 to get you a 5x 4-3/4 pattern.

Great work. I've got a long term 49 Buick sedanette project, so I am really interested in your progress because of the crossover apps.

Thank you gentlemen, it's a Labour of love. Seems like every time I do one thing I end up doing twelve other things to prepare for the original first thing lol but it's for the best because I don't like half assing any of it. Anyway, here's some motor porn! New roller lifters, pricey lil buggers but best not to cheap out on valvve train!

  20. Good to see another Pontiac coming back to life. My '52 is waiting on me to finish fabricating the motor mounts for the Pontiac V8, should be running/steering/stopping by the end of April.

Awesome! Yea they are beautiful cars often overlooked the dash is what made me buy the car, eventually I think I will build a poncho v8 for mine as well but for now the 383 should suffice. :) youre welcome to post a few pics of yours I love seeing others ponchos, not a whole lot of them getting saved.....

  22. Here are a couple pics.

I'm pushing hard to get something done each week, our 17 yr old son wants to drive it to high school next year.

  24. I wish it was my shop, I just rent space from the owner (he feels sorry for talentless hacks and Pontiacs)

I started a rattle can clean up on the Pontiac motor, when 5 minutes into my day, a local self appointed "official" generously pointed out to me that the color is wrong, since its a 1970 Motor the color should be the Pontiac Light Blue Metallic #431 not the mid 50's Light Blue #430 I selected.

I told him that I want the car to have the appearance of a mid 50's custom. His reply "well its still not correct"...

My wife wonders why I don't like people as a rule
