Hey everyone, I'm in the process of putting together a 1950 Olds rocket 88 coupe. I'm having trouble figuring out how to install the rear 1/4 windows. The car was already apart when I got it and have had little success finding anything on how to reinstall them. Any help would be great, I'm really stuck here. Thanks

    Hey cool50,

I'm building an 88 just like yours. Best I can do from here is to quote from my copy of the 1950-51 Oldsmobile Shop Manual, page 472, which tells how to remove this window. But I hope you can use these directions by just reversing the steps to complete your installation.

    "l. Remove the garnish molding.
    2. In the window opening, remove the screws holding the ventilator frame and garnish molding front support clip.
    3. Tip ventilator assembly inward at top and lift the assembly up and out."

Hope this info. helps you out somehow, and good luck!!
