1950 Mercury rearend swap questions

I'M looking to in stall a f-100 9 inch ford rearend in a 1950 Mercury but have a few questions.
First ones is what the center to center leaf perch measurement on a 50 Merc?
Second question is, Do the perches need to be at a certain angle?

 

you will probably need to weld on new perch mounts. and yes, you need to set the pinion angle

 

A 9" from a 63 galaxie fits right in. Had one bolted under my old 51 merc. No mods at all.
