1950 mercury 4door chop question

    I like the shape of the rear door window frames on this car. It's similar to a coupe's quarter glass.
     
  2. Still say it's a waste of time chopping a 4 door.



    For the guys that don't have their reading glases on...... take a closer look at my avatar, it's a 4 door. IMHO they take to a chop extremely well. And I agree, Matt has a good deal of knowlege about wacking the top of these properly as his work will attest to.

    Good information here. I will probably chop my baby Lincoln eventually.

    I have nothing to add but a memory of a 49-51 Lincoln four door (maybe a Cosmopolitan?) That I saw at a drive in restaurant back in the early 90's in Des Moines IA. It was painted a pastel pink/rose????? maybe, it was just out of paint, you could still smell the fumes. the chop was similar to the OP. To me it was just sooooo neat!!! Good luck!!
