I used Jamco's sbc motor and 350 transmission mounts.
    its worked great.
The best aspect of the Jamco set up is it places the motor oil pan and transmission oil pan above the frame rails. if you wanted to slam your car you wont have issues tearing up either.

/\ almost, you'll need to trim the firewall and raise the transmission tunnel. use 1980's Camaro or Firebird rear dump exhaust manifold for the driver side (L) to clear the steering gear box.

It's a shame Jamco has gotten so screwed up because those motor mounts in Hoppy's shoebox sure made for a clean installation.......looks like that motor grew there.

It wouldn't take much to fab up those same mounts from the excellent pictures Hoppy posted, they are super simple . The rear crossmember is just an off the shelf Speedway dropped transmission crossmember, so that is obtainable.

I bet a days work and some measuring and you could build those same mounts at home.

the best motor mount for the shoebox is the flat head mount,'cause the flatty belongs there.......................

But that would be restoration, not hot rodding. And, if the man wants something different, should we try to help him out?
