I'm loving it!!! I need to do a suede metallic (in a very similar colour too) pretty soon. Does the flattening agent only go into the final coat of clear? I'm assuming there'll be more than one coat going on, and have heard the flattening agent can make the clear milky? Thanks Barry
The front clip was an easy install with no front clip or radiator issues. I put V8 s10 conversion headers. For the flattened clear I put one gallon of clear to 1 quart of flattening agent. I applied 3 coats of the clear to the car. Thanks for all great comments, it keeps me going!!
hey SHOEBOX50...Ur exactly what h.a.m.b. is all about! i love the frenched headlights, shade of blue paint, chopped top, stance! hell i don't see anything 1 wouldn't love! streight out of the 50s, and that's a good thing. it wouldn't hurt my feelings if U posted 40 or 50 more pics! HA!call me POP...or the old FART!
Superb job! What's the grille gonna be... something with teeth like early 50s chevy or 54 - 55 desoto? I recall years ago you could buy a filler piece from a catalog for that 49 - 50 hood to get rid of the hare-lip, of course you can make one, may I suggest that's all it needs to be A-1 perfect?
My favorite car, my favorite color - man when a shoebox grows up it should look like yours - super job - well done
