Ive been trying to find this article and had no luck thus far with ebay or any other resources. the people at hot rod told me they dont reprint them. So this is my next try. So does anyone on here have either of these that they will sell me or sell me a photocopy of the article. Its about stroking the 226 to 237 using olds crank and rods, i just wanna have all the details on it. thanks a lot guys. Hot Rod Magazine, February, 1951 on page 26. Same info in Trend book #106, Hot Rod your car, on page 121.
Here is all the info I have found from the California Bill book, hope this garners some more attention to help us out as I would like to know as well!
P.M. me a snail mail address and I'll send you a copy. Be advised that the article does NOT say anything about using an Olds crank. Rather it tells you to offset grind the Ford crank to stroke it .225" then use 1936 Olds rods.
Awesome. I havent been on the hamb for a while, been so busy with work and such. Thanks for the replies guys. The motor officially tanked on wednesday, so its time to rip it out, give it some new guts, some side drafts, and a 5spd. Its going to be one sweet little 6.
