Replacing my rusted and pitted front vent window frames. The new frames came without locks so need to transfer the original locks to the new frame. Anyone know how to do this?

Also, any pitfalls in removing the glass from the original frames?

    Thanks!

Probably require a bit of grinding, welding , and rechrome.

  3. To get the locks loose you’ll have to drill rivets out. To get the glass out. Pry the glass at each end with a small screw driver. Add some WD 40. Run a knife around the edges. Hope you don’t break the glass. Get new rivets at Ace. Start the setting of the rivet with a tapered end punch. The finish with a flat punch.
