Oh Fuck! Buy it! You know why? It was built in the late 40s Did I mention buy it? Oh yes it was featured in Hot Rod in 1950
What the hell are you waiting around for? Buy it. It's a good thing I don't live in Eaton, Ohio or that car would be in my garage.
buy it now before whoever is selling it finds out it was a feature car back in the day.. price will skyrockett then.. nice find..
Thats frikkin awsome, and probably not a difficult resto if you dont get it pass it on to somebody here. ME for example !
From the stacks of bundled up magazines sitting on it I'd bet that they know what they have. It looks like the gages on the firewall were added at a later date though. Cool car with a lot of hotrod heritage going for it.
You dont want that car. It is in too bad of shape. Let me know its location and I will make sure it is taken care of
Time's a wastin'! Oh, and you should change the thread name like Jimmy B suggested. "1950 Hot Rod feature car found" is more relevant for your great find.
tail lights look like 48 Pontiac lights, I see pink lead too, I use that stuff alot I hope its in your garage now!
I concur with everyone else, buy it (hope you have by now)...HRM did not feature many cars outside of the West in 1950, so this one was really special...be great to see it again like it was in '50.
OMFG! I had no Idea! Yep............... I'm getting it ! Thanks for the "Sharp Eyes" JIMMY B What month was the car in the Mag? anything about STCA? HEE HAW!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is a great find. a piece of history. i am looking forward to seeing more pictures after you get it home!!
I saw the date of the Magazine.............I missed it November 1950 I was 2 years old! WOW! Thanks "Hambers" for all the help How do you change the thread name to "Featured 50's Hot Rod" found?
No worries. The issue was November 1950 If it had a SCTA tag it probably ran in the 50s. The best way to find out would be to contact either Jack Underwood (SCTA historian) or the SLSRH and see if someone can help Now go get that car and put it back to how it was in the HRM feature
