That's awesome! I've been recommended to get the same bags for my 51 poncho. I'm only gonna do the front and the rear is made up of 3" lowered leaf springs and going to lower them another 3" with blocks temp until I know it's how far down I want to go. This thread gave me some more in depth on the front bag cups. Thanks, man

Y I W O R K, nice ride and thanks for taking the time to create this thread. Lots of good info.

One question, how do you like the performance and reliability of the Little Larry's manual valve setup? I'm considering running this setup on my car as well. What's your opinion?

Also, it appears that those black plastic cheap-looking "paddles" can be removed from the levers on the manual valve manifold. Can you confirm. Thanks, and I appreciate any feedback.

40HeavyChevy the Little Larry's valves are as advertised in my opinion. They are very well made and form/fit/finish is top shelf.

The paddles are machined as well so they are stout enough for me but yes you can replaced them if you choose.

Went back to the stock and original Roadmaster caps recently.

My dad bought this car as a barn find in 1978. It had been in the barn for 20 years. My family used it for three years and then it was off the road for 31 years before We got it going again in the fall of 2014. We continue to keep cleaning and preserving everything we can and have no intentions of painting it etc.

The car is named after my mother and we have recreated my dads Navy tattoo of my mom on the car in several places. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1442863607.373674.jpg

YIWORK!! This is awesome!! I just bought a 50 Buick special 2 door fastback and have been searching the internet for a simple solution to lower mine. This fits the bill. Would you be willing to make another set of front and rear air bag brackets for my 50? Here is a couple pics of my 50. IMAG1555.jpg IMAG1555.jpg IMAG1552.jpg

Uaint1sturlast, I am willing and able yes. I don't know how to private message you here so if you are on Facebook, I suggest you join our Buick Fireball Eight group so we can chat about it there.

Excellent write up! Planning something very similar for my Packard. Just plan on bagging the front and blocks on the rear. I like the idea of a tank vs. compressor. Can you give us an approx. investment in parts?

Very nice and detailed write up. I wish someone would have done this before I did mine, it would have taken a lot of time out of design and fabrication of my bag mounts. What you did is very similar to how I did mine. I'm getting ready to do a 700r4 and open drive line conversion on my 50. Time to raise my build thread from the dead! Great work!
